The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed concerning the substantial range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The provider place made for intervention activities a substantial influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to allow the servicing of all prospects and enhance access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
